Introduction

Car Dealer Shop Pro is a block theme specifically crafted using the WordPress Site Editor.

Block Theme

A block theme in WordPress is one that takes advantage of the block editor extensively for designing and structuring the site. The block editor allows users to create content in a more visual and modular way by using individual "blocks" for various elements like text, images, galleries, buttons, and more.


Theme Installation

First, log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.

  1. Go to the menu Appearance > Themes and click the Add New Theme button.
  2. Once you are on the themes page, click on the "Add New" button.
  3. Select the Upload Theme button.
  4. Click the "Browse" button, select the car-dealer-shop-pro theme in your desktop, and then click the "Install"
  5. WordPress will now proceed with installing your selected theme, and upon completion, you will see a success message that includes options to activate the theme or preview it live. Congratulations! Your theme has been successfully installed and set up.

Setup Wizard

After activating the theme you will go to the wizard page where you can quickly install plugins and have the demo content of the theme.

1. Click on "Start Now" button.

2. Click on "Install Plugins" button to install pugins used in theme.

3. Click on "Import Demo Content" button to import the demo content of theme.

Now, your theme is set up, and you can visit the site or go to "get started" where you will find information about the theme.


These are some important points to follow after visiting the site

1. After clicking "Visit Site", go to the "Edit Site" option located at the top notification bar.

2. The full Site Editor panel will open, displaying all the design blocks.

3. Make the necessary changes according to your requirements.

4. Some sections use Gutentor plugin blocks (e.g., for links, contact info, call, or email). Locate those blocks, go to their settings, and apply minor changes as needed.

5. Once done, click the "Save" button at the top-right corner of the screen.

6. Perform a hard refresh on the Site Editor page (press Ctrl + Shift + R or Cmd + Shift + R).

7. Repeat the process by making additional small changes in any Gutentor block, then save the site again.

8. Finally, go to your website's home page, do one more hard refresh, and your updated site will be ready to use.

Editing Site

Visit your site's URL and select the "Edit site" link from the admin bar to initiate the editing process.

Upon accessing the Site Editing screen, you will encounter the WordPress site editor, providing a user-friendly platform for customizing both the design and content of your website.

Simply select the section you wish to edit, and a toolbar along with customizable setting options for that specific section/block will be revealed, allowing you to tailor it to your preferences.
